Weaving in the digital age
tIn this research project, I explored three different levels of research questions. As a designer, I wondered how to design for the digital age from an embodied perspective. As a philosopher, I specifically turned to the anthropologist philosopher Tim Ingold to understand what his theory about being-in-the-world means in the digital age. Finally, as a design researcher, I explored a way to do philosophy as a designer, using the practice of design. As a result, I created a conceptual design for embodied digital interactions, deepened my understanding of Ingold’s theory and proposed the new methodology of Philosophy-through-Design.
A dancing interaction
I used the practice and theory of dance to design an embodied interaction with a vacuum cleaner.
