Me, Myphone & I #3: A poem about time

I’m always surprised
how quickly time is lost
when I’m scrolling through Facebook

The minutes slipping through my fingers
filling buckets with hours of waste

How many minutes do you have in one life?
how much time do you need to build, to learn,
to understand and be who you want to be?

I’m always amazed
how many things I am able to think about
when I’m just sitting still, thinking for one minute

The words, feelings, images and ideas
filling buckets full of dreams and understanding

If I could just be every minute of my life
I could build, learn and understand
how to move mountains, fly through the air and change the world

But every night I find a day gone,
passed by unconsciously
while I was scrolling through Facebook
